Lighting tunnels day and night alike has become an objective of primary importance in the need to ensure traffic can flow in comfortable and safe conditions. In addition we need to apply solutions that minimise the use of electrical energy while guaranteeing at the same time high level of reliability and reduced maintenance.

-  Longer lamp life up to 100%
-  Reduction of number of luminaries
 
Energy savings:
-  It is possible to follow the outside luminance accurately
-  Compensation of maintenance factor if inside luminance meter is used
-  Replacement of less efficient low wattage lamps with higher wattage lamps
 
Lamp Live extension
-  Due to the protection of the lamps before over voltage and because the lamps are operated at lower than nominal voltage/current the lamps will last up to double as long.
 
Reduction of the Number of Luminaries
-  Because of the fact that the lamps can be dimmed the same lamp can be used to produce different luminous fluxes. Instead of switching off i.e. one lamp in two bigger lamp i.e. 400W HPS can be used instead of two lamps 250W HPS. This is not only saving energy but it reduces the number of luminaries and hence the initial investment.
